Background

Good judgement comes from experience, and David brings a wealth of experience from a variety of disciplines and perspectives. As an entrepreneur, he has launched numerous ventures including a $2.5 billion San Francisco-based investment advisory, an online financial education company that was sold to a $50 billion commercial bank, and an innovative hardware manufacturing company that is fully funded and set to release its first product in 2016.  As a general manager, David has driven business success in multiple C-level roles including CFO, COO, President, and CEO. As an inventor, he has multiple patents that are currently pending.

As a educator, David has taught university-level courses in corporate finance and business law. Finally, as a writer, his works on topics ranging from finance to economics to politics have appeared in CFO Magazine, Huffington Post, Denver Post, Baltimore Sun, Austin Statesman, News & Observer, and Salt Lake Tribune, among others.

 

 

Experience

Prior to joining EverEdge, David was a writer and management consultant to the investment advisory and private equity industries. In 2009, David co-founded Contango Capital Advisors (a $3.5 billion investment advisor subsidiary of Zions Bancorporation) in San Francisco where he served as COO and President.

Before Contango, David was the founder and CEO of Panoptic Solutions, a developer of online educational content for the financial industry. The company was successfully sold to a $7 billion market cap commercial bank in 2004.

David is a former Executive Director for Swiss Bancorporation where he was regional manager; national marketing director for the bank’s emerging wealth strategy; and a member of the U.S. Market Management Committee.

In addition, David has studied at the University of Neuchatel (Switzerland), the University of Nice (France), and the Imperial College in London. He was a U.S. delegate to the 22nd Annual Graduate Conference at the United Nations in Geneva, Switzerland, and an honour graduate of the United States Marine Corps Officer Candidate School in Quantico, Virginia.
