Welcome to the December EverEdge Newsletter.

Last edition we focused on the intersection of intangible assets and the equity markets. But there is another capital market that is equally important… debt.
The high-growth company industry has traditionally looked to private and public equity for growth capital. However the relentless rise in the importance and value of intangible assets on and off company balance sheets is leading debt capital providers to reconsider if and (increasingly) how they can provide debt-based capital to high growth enterprises.

This is a critical trick for banks and non-bank lenders to learn because it is precisely these high growth, new economy focused companies that banks need to lean towards as the economy transitions from the industrial age to the information age.
This month we spent time in Australia talking about these issues. See below for coverage in The Australian and presentations to the Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand in Brisbane, Adelaide and Melbourne. Sydney is scheduled for Q1.
