Associate Director - Singapore

Supporting the Managing Director and broader EverEdge Global team, the Associate Director will be a key contributor to the direction and performance of EverEdge Singapore by providing exceptional leadership across all matters. We anticipate this role will rapidly step up to take responsibility for the entire EverEdge Singapore management consulting business and as such, provides a superb opportunity for a talented management consultant to take the new step in their career.

The Role

The Associate Director serves as a ‘key lieutenant’ to the Managing Director - Singapore and will be responsible for:

  1. Overseeing the creation and delivery of major consulting engagements,
  2. The achievement of EverEdge Singapore’s growth strategy, and
  3. Operational management of all business support functions. These currently include, but are not limited to, Project Delivery, Finance, Sales, General Management.

Additional areas of responsibility include:

  • Creating and overseeing creation of major proposals
  • Strategic input into major projects / consulting engagements
  • Primary oversight on delivery of projects / consulting engagements
  • Quality control of projects / consulting engagements
  • Reports, financial forecasts, budgets, KPIs – including modelling projects, analysis margins
  • Project delivery:
    • Assisting delivery team with strategic analysis and insight during client engagements
    • Overseeing the management of the EverEdge Singapore Delivery Team including client prioritisation, project delivery, resource management and coordinated planning and forecasting and provide leadership decision-making
  • Supporting sales efforts:
    • Leading the EverEdge Sales Team in Singapore including generation of new work and general business networking. Provide support during engagement proposals, understand and support client relationship management as needed including:
      • Leading the delivery and creation of major quotes and client engagement documentation
      • Liaising with the client's commercial personnel to transact all contractual elements

In the medium term we anticipate a successful candidate will take over responsibility for the EverEdge Singapore office from the existing Managing Director who will be relocating to open a new EverEdge office.

The Ideal Candidate

The Associate Director will report directly to the Managing Director, who is primarily focused on global strategic development, future product development and marketing. This role is viewed as critical in underpinning the future success of Singapore office, and as such, the selection process will focus heavily on the person being the 'right fit' in the organization's culture, ethos, and work ethic.

We expect that the person in this role will possess both the technical qualifications for the role as well as other intangible attributes. The ideal candidate will have either:

  • Management experience within a management consulting environment (5+ years’ experience at McKinsey / BCG / Bain / Deloitte, etc.)
  • Experience in a corporate environment that is recognised for having best-in-class approaches to operational excellence; Experience in selling professional service / management consulting services

The role is primarily focussed on providing high value advisory services to successful and high growth companies and research institutes with valuable technology or intellectual property. Being a small firm with many clients, consultants are busy, working on-the-go on multiple projects to meet deadlines. Successful candidates will be involved on a day-to-day basis in writing business reports, analysing cases and active researching. The role involves substantial client-facing opportunities; especially in presenting engagement outcomes to clients and helping clients to implement recommendations. A key deliverable of the role will be to develop new business by identifying, presenting to and winning new clients.

This would ideally suit a candidate who has had 5+ years’ experience in a consulting practice and comfortable with corporate business development targets.

Job Description

  • Working closely with the consulting team to deliver projects

Junior Legal Intellectual Property Specialist

  • Help build a fast-growing international management consulting & corporate finance practice.

This role will blend legal, technical and commercial knowledge to help clients realize value from their intellectual property, innovations and intangible assets. With experience in patents, trademarks and other forms of intellectual property, this role will work beyond the traditional perceptions of intellectual property as simply a legal right.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • All aspects of patent work.
  • Advising on strategies and courses of action available.
  • Advising on office actions and drafting submissions.
  • Assist with recordal projects, IP due diligence exercise, business development activities, etc.
  • Preparing costs estimates.
  • Conducting searches.
  • Preparation of documents such as resolutions, letter, confirmations, statements, and arranging document execution, notarization and legitimization when necessary.
