Skills and experience

  • Previous consulting experience required
  • Experience in strategy, risk and/or technology and innovation
  • Outgoing with the ability to direct a team and take control
  • Solid understanding of Intellectual Property, Licensing, and Commercialization
  • Exceptional research, communication and presentation skills
  • The ability to write clearly and concisely
  • 5+ years PQE (engineering, law, business or technology qualification)

Senior Strategist - Intangible Assets

We are looking for a team player who is self-motivated, entrepreneurial, a lateral thinker, is good under pressure and who is ready and up to the challenge of working in a fast-growing business and industry. This role combines networking skills with pragmatic commercial and technical expertise to grow and assist the world’s leading companies to better leverage their intangible assets.

 Components of the role include:

  • Providing advice to clients in relation to the strategy, risk, value and commercialization of their intangible assets
  • Preparation of reports and presentations for clients or new prospects including the delivery of strategy building workshops with clients
  • Building relationships with prospective clients, understanding the needs of a client organization and “closing the deal”
  • Developing solutions, preparing and writing reports and developing on-going client interface opportunities. The ability to develop and maintain client relationships is paramount to this position.
  • Being able to manage multiple projects with difficult deadlines

  • Preparation of proposals for existing or new clients
  • The ability to build relationships with prospective clients; understand the needs of a client’s organization and “close the deal”
  • You will be able to clearly articulate the client’s expectations to the delivery team and proactively managing the client relationship in an ongoing manner
  • The ability to develop and maintain client relationships
  • Highly organised – nothing escapes your attention
  • Excellent PowerPoint skills.

Strategist - Intangible Assets

  • Providing support to the Australian Managing Director by helping to close sales as well as developing pitch decks and proposals
  • Research, identify and execute on new client opportunities for the firm
  • Leveraging existing contacts and networks to develop new client relationships
  • Support on delivering client projects

We are seeking an entrepreneurial business development and advisory professional, who is ready for the challenge of working in a fast growing professional services industry, for the company who is leading the charge. This role combines passion, enthusiasm, strong networking skills, superb organisational talent and pragmatic commercial expertise to grow and develop the company both in Australia and internationally.

You will be working alongside our Australian Managing Director to convert relationships and business development opportunities into closed sales. You will work with our MD to successfully close a consultative sales process, having accurately identified the client’s needs and customised a suitable solution to benefit both the client and the firm.

Sales management experience along with your entrepreneurial flair is of paramount importance. You must have excellent communication and presentation skills, be extremely organised and self-motivated and capable of researching and formulating a strategic development plan for prospective clients in the market.

A proven track record in business development and sales in a professional services or management consulting environment is essential.
