Caitlin is a Registered Trans-Tasman Patent Attorney and Senior Strategist at EverEdge, a global intangible asset advisory, corporate finance and investment firm. In her role, Caitlin helps companies and investors develop their competitive edge by identifying, commercialising and valuing their intangible assets. Caitlin is a passionate intellectual property professional with broad commercial skills and an aptitude for applying deep knowledge of IP law in various jurisdictions, forming effective strategies to leverage all forms of intangible assets.
Prior to joining EverEdge, Caitlin handled copyright and licensing for Standards New Zealand, the sole IP specialist charged with delivering the statutory functions of the New Zealand Standards Executive. In that role, Caitlin brought expert knowledge of the law and best practice relating to IP to work with the commercialisation and leveraging of the intangible assets held by Standards New Zealand.
Caitlin completed her Patent Attorney qualification at a specialist IP law firm in Wellington where she was mentored by an accomplished Partner. In that role, she was responsible for the prosecution and management of patent and registered design applications for both local and international clients. Her strengths are in software, mechanical, electrical and medical technologies and in building focus for the effective management of cross-jurisdictional rights portfolios and associated strategy.
