Caitlin is a Registered Trans-Tasman Patent Attorney and Senior Strategist at EverEdge, a global intangible asset advisory, corporate finance and investment firm. In her role, Caitlin helps companies and investors identify and develop their competitive edge by identifying, commercialising, and valuing their intangible assets. Caitlin is a passionate intellectual property professional with a broad commercial skill range and a particular aptitude for applying her in-depth knowledge of intellectual property law across various jurisdictions, forming effective strategies to leverage all forms of intangible assets.

Immediately prior to joining EverEdge, Caitlin handled the Copyright and Licensing for Standards New Zealand, the sole intellectual property specialist charged with delivering the statutory functions of the New Zealand Standards Executive under the Standards Accreditation Act 2015 in relation to Crown Copyright. Bringing expert knowledge of the law and best practice relating to intellectual property to work in partnership with the commercialisation and leveraging of the intangible assets held by Standards New Zealand.

Caitlin gained the bulk of her experience and completed her Patent Attorney qualification at a specialist intellectual property law firm in central Wellington, New Zealand where she was mentored by an accomplished Partner of the firm. Within her Patent Attorney role, she was responsible for the prosecution and management of patent and registered design applications for a range of local and international clients. While the subject matter handled was diverse, her strengths lie with software, mechanical, electrical, and medical technologies coupled with building focus for the effective management of cross-jurisdictional rights portfolios and associated strategy required.
