Singapore Government Increases Enterprise Development Grant for
Eligible Companies up to 90% in Response to Covid-19

Through its Resilience Budget announced on March 26, the Singapore Government has increased the funding levels available through its Enterprise Development Grant (EDG) to up to 90% of applicable costs. This is good news for EverEdge clients as our valuation services may be covered under the EDG’s ‘Core Capabilities’ or ‘Market Access’ schemes, if companies meet all of the relevant, qualifying criteria.

EverEdge Valuation Services

Using a proprietary three-factor model, EverEdge provides valuation services that utilize traditional quantitative methods, as well as the analysis of contextual and qualitative factors. This analysis is crucial as these factors are the primary drivers of intangible asset value.

During periods of market volatility – such as what we are experiencing now with Covid-19 – it is critical that Boards, management teams, entrepreneurs and founders understand the true value of their organisation and assets. This knowledge enables informed decisions to be made so that the company can maximize the return on investment on all of its assets.

Enterprise Development Grant Funding

As announced during the Government’s supplementary budget, for qualifying projects undertaken between April 01, and December 31, 2020, the EDG will fund third party consultancy fees, software and equipment, and internal manpower costs to maximum support levels of 80%, or 90% for enterprises that are most severely impacted by COVID-19.  EverEdge’s valuation services are potentially covered by the grant for companies that meet the qualifying criteria.

To qualify for the EDG, companies need to:

  • Be registered and operating in Singapore
  • Have a minimum of 30% local shareholding
  • Be in a financially viable position to start and complete the project.

Applications will be assessed by Enterprise Singapore based on project scope, project outcomes and competency of service provider.
