Software

Software refers to any set of instructions that tells a computer what to do. Software can be used for all sorts of things, like creating art, analysing data, or even running a whole business. Due to its non-physical nature, software is a core intangible asset that can hold great value for a company. Just like your favourite app helps you do something awesome, business software helps companies work more efficiently and offer better products or services. Examples of software include operating systems, productivity tools, customer relationship management systems and entertainment applications. Companies often invest in software to work smarter and faster. Proprietary software can also create significant competitive advantages and improve productivity for the controlling company.
