Governance

Governance refers to the set of principles, policies and practices that guide decision-making, accountability and control within an organisation. In terms of intangible assets, governance implies the rules and structures set up to ensure that intangible assets are properly identified, protected and used to their fullest potential in alignment with the company’s goals. It helps establish protocols for assessing risks, implementing safeguards and optimising the value of intangible assets. Good governance fosters a culture of responsible management and provides a framework for positioning and safeguarding intangible assets.
